Festival
Tsushima sits between Japan and the Korean peninsula — close enough that on clear days you can see both. For centuries it was the gateway between the two countries, and the Izuhara festival carries that history. The procession reenacts the Korean diplomatic missions that once passed through, a reminder that this island's culture was never only Japanese. The mainland, both mainlands, are visible from here.
